About us

In 1979, Wodek Majewski founded the Atelier 340 Muzeum in Jette, which, following a few misadventures, became Atelier 34zero Muzeum in 2014. A sculptor by origin, the Atelier was first and foremost his studio before rapidly transforming into a cultural venue devoted mainly to three-dimensional art.

For 46 years, 3 to 4 thematic, confrontational, or retrospective exhibitions have been held there each year. These exhibitions are most often accompanied by the publication of important, richly illustrated quadrilingual catalogues, video productions, and the edition of art postcards. Whenever possible, these events are also presented beyond the museum walls.

As the only space dedicated to contemporary and current art in the northwest of Brussels, its distance from the city center’s galleries and museums has not prevented it from organizing numerous exhibitions that have flourished—and continue to do so.
